Investigator Ivanov finds out that the abduction was staged, and Nikita's mother, Renata, a well-known TV producer, is involved in this. To understand the reasons and deep motives of Renata's act, the investigator will have to piece together the history of the complex relationship between mother and son and answer the main question: did Renata kill her son or save his life?
